ELECTRICITY touches our lives in ways we seldom think about on a daily basis, from each electrically charged neuron firing around our brain to the body's "electrolyte" balances maintaining or disrupting our health. Our bodies are basically electro-chemical factories.
Wires moving within magnetic fields generate electricity.  In photocopy and laser printers, light sensitive particles are charged so that they  stick to paper. (The photo-electric effect- hence photocopy.)
New power generation technolgies are evolving as we speak. What about satellites collecting focussed solar energy which is then converted to microwaves and beamed back to earth to a field of receivers! And that  is then converted to electricity.Sounds like fantasy? It's not just a concept, it's been done.  This just keeps getting bigger. How does a computer work ? The connections of electricity to our world and ways of living are endless......................
We live in monster cities where poor design has condemned us to ever increasing utility costs. More and more businesses and individuals are recognizing the need to take control over the use and therefore cost of their power. I recently organized work in my office building. I ensured airconditioners would never be left running out of hours through installing 24/7 timers. We installed lower power lighting . Savings applied across a multi-storey building such as this amount to thousands of dollars a year. Not to mention the benefit to the environment. All citizens of the world to take "charge" of your power. Just changed my power provider at home - savings around $400 a year. Cost analysis of doing this for my office building tells me the savings by switching providers to be around $2000. 
THE  perfect domain name for the individual, community group or corporation interested or involved in the business of building repair and maintenence, supply and or fit of electrical products of almost any description, education specialists, researchers, health professionals or just a bright spark like you.
Avoid a static business or life and become more dynamic with this web address.
Why have one name for your business or organization and a different one for your domain when they can be one and the same ?
Don't confuse the public with dot, backwards slash, underscore and not to mention meaningless names.
Work hard with a bad idea (or name?) or start right ?      It's not too hard a choice.

Over time I've photographed many power towers. Yep, that's weird.
They are awesome and this one, KYOTO TOWER, is no exception. It's pretty interesting how the wires align the streets, space invaders of this Telecommunications tower. 
Give a moment to reflect on the changes that have gone on in this ancient city probably barely opposed since Japan's post war race to catch up with and beat other world economies. In this city,  McDonalds isn't allowed to have a big yellow sign out front....... but electrical wires......bring it on baby!
Would you care to live on this street with  electromagnetic fields buzzing around?
Can you actually feel these invisible particles pulsing, radiating around and travelling through you?
Are we immune to them or are we setting ourselves up for an impending catastrophe ?
With electrical fields & electro-chemical reactions being the principle behind brain and neural activity we might be risking a lot.
Will it get to the point where we can't go outside without some form of protection, perhaps a helmet and suit ? It's a dark thought but questions need to be asked, limits need to be set and research needs to be done. The future will happen whether we organize it or leave it to some other self-interested party.
The photo is somehow dark and strange, definitely thought-provoking, but very cool .....................
